Unique style and infectious energy

Pete York is a highly sought after DJ, musician, vocalist, producer and music teacher. He visits primary schools to teach music to young children, helping them gain confidence. Each term ends with a school concert. The pupils come together and perform in front of an audience of parents, friends and teachers. He conducts group and one-to-one classes in schools and in his studio. He also conducts classes over Skype.

Performance venues

Pete York, the founder of The Juke of York Music Academy, has performed in some of the most prestigious venues and festivals all over the world. These include:
  • The Brixton Academy (London)
  • Pride Festival (Brighton)
  • Amnesia (Ibiza)
  • Cream (Ibiza)
  • The Viper Room (LA)
  • The Roxy (LA)
  • The 02 London Arena
He has appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show (BBC), MTV Live in Leicester Square, The Late Night Show With Conan O'Brien (New York) (TBS) and Pop World (Channel 4).
Pete has been supporting my daughter's interest in music since 2014, he is an inspiration and has been able to maximise her interest in music on a very special level. Pete has been supportive and engaged in different stages of her learning and his can do and make it fun attitude has, most definitely, made her feel positive. Pete has been able to allow my daughter, Daniella, aged 15, to express herself and to feel good about her approach to music in higher education.

Pete has great professional knowledge, fantastic confidence in his students and he is very welcoming. I would recommend Pete to anyone who wants to support their children towards a music career.
